Thailand’s Centre of Covid-19 Situation Administration (CSSA) has today (17 June 2022) resolved that the Thailand Pass registration scheme to be completely removed effective 1 July 2022.
Therefore the requirement for foreign visitor’s US10,000 Covid-19 health insurance will be no longer necessary.
Foreign nationals only required to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination, or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. They can be in a print or digital format.
Random checks will be made on arrivals at the international airports and the land border checkpoints. Unvaccinated travellers and those who fail to present a proof of negative test result will be required to undergo a professional ATK test at the point of entry.
The government is preparing to announce a new set of guidelines as the nation is stepping into post-pandemic. Mask wearing outdoor will no longer be mandatory excepts in crowded places effectively once the official directives have been announced in the Royal Thai Government Gazette.
