The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced the schedule of events for this year Chiang Mai’s Loy Krathong and Yee Peng Festivals.
Schedules of 2017 Loy Krathong & Yee Peng Festivals in Chiang Mai
Opening activities of lighting candle trays, with traditional Lanna dance at the Three Kings Monument.
November 2, at 7.00pm:
The opening ceremony of 2017 Chiang Mai Yee Peng Festival at Lanna Folklife Museum.
November 2, from 7.00pm to 11.00pm:
Lighting candle trays around city moat at all city fortresses.
Lanna Folk Dance performance around old city moat.
November 2-3, from 7.00pm to 11.00pm:
Mister and Miss Yee Peng contest, at Lanna Folklife Museum.
November 2-3, from 10.00am to 11.00pm:
Respective ritual ceremony to Phra Sirimangkalajarn, at Chiang Mai Buddhist Place.
November 2-5, from 7.00pm to 11.00pm:
Lighting candle trays to worship the Lord Buddha, at The Three Kings Monument.

Loy Krathong & Yee Peng Festivals 2017
The 2017 Loy Krathong and Yee Peng Lantern Festivals will be celebrated from the 2nd – 4th of November, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This is the time where you will see lights floating on the waters, lights hanging from buildings, and lights floating in the sky.
